About the Coach
Lorelei began her musical studies in classical piano at the age of 7. Over the next several years, she performed in many recitals and competed in numerous classical piano competitions on the national and international level. She won all of them except one, in which she placed second.
While studying classical piano, she also trained in ballet. At 14 years old, American Musical Theater, a national musical theater company, was touring across the country auditioning young talent to train in their summer stock program. She was cast and then promoted to a full company member, the youngest in the ensemble. Touring nationally with the company, she performed in numerous arenas and theaters across America and in Columbia Artist's national tour of "A Gershwin Festival". The Gershwin family themselves were involved in the production along with a Broadway cast and crew. Lorelei was a featured singing soloist in the show and a dancing soloist in An American in Paris. ![]() Still from Siren's music video "Cry of the Warrior". Directed by Tim Minear In the height of the Rock N' Roll era, she created her band, "Siren". Using all original music of which she composed, "Siren" toured the Western United States and the South Pacific, but could primarily be found in nightclubs on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood because that used to be THE place for Rock N' Roll. Her songs were recorded and produced at Hit City West, A&M Studios, Piper Studios, and Wayne Cook's (Steppenwolf, Alice Cooper, Player) private studio. While performing, Lorelei continued her vocal training with Mark Forest, champion bodybuilder, Hollywood movie star, and Italian trained opera singer. In addition to instructing the same style of vocal technique as Dr. Gaudio, he insisted on learning Italian and a deeper study of opera arias. After the birth of her daughter, she focused on musical composition for indie films with her writing partner, Warren Cann (Ultravox). Later she focused on vocal instruction preparing aspiring singers for auditions and careers. |
